Robin
Truelove Stronk is a small animal veterinarian practicing
in Brattleboro VT who has had an interest in art and animals
all of her life. Studying at the River Gallery School,
she has refined her interests and style and concentrates
on portraying animals from an intimate level. She seeks
to achieve the feeling that you are viewing the animal
from the vantage of another of its species or as a trusted
companion. The eyes of animals are of particular fascination
and often hold a story within themselves. Humor is a desireable
element and comes into play in such pieces as the "Chicken
Run" series. She works primarily in oil paint but
also creates in colored pencil, pen and ink and carbon
dust, an old and delicate means of rendering images.
