Scott Nelson

Scott Nelson has been drawing and painting for 35 years. His work tends toward the large, detailed, and imaginative. Colored pencil is the current medium of choice, using multiple layers to achieve a dense patina. Oil paint and oil pastel make frequent appearances, as do sculptures from found plastic and cast-off neckties. He has work in personal and professional collections throughout the country, and has the dubious distinction of having had two of his paintings stolen.
